Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY)? She had plenty to say about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, but suddenly nothing to say about Gov. Andrew Cuomo? At the time of his confirmation hearings, Kavanaugh was accused of sexual assault by Christine Blasey Ford. And now Cuomo has been accused of sexual harassment by a former employee. His former aide, Lindsey Boylan, in a very detailed piece for Medium, recounts how Cuomo once asked her to play strip poker and kissed her on the lips without permission. But Democratic legislators aren't exactly rushing to give comments to the press.

Thursday by a vote of 224-206. Every Democrat voted for the bill along with three Republicans. It’s a radical piece of legislation that adds sex, gender identity, and sexual orientation to the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Critics have skewered the bill as a huge threat to religious freedom — and one which tramples on women’s rights and removes conscience protections for healthcare workers. Pro-life advocates are also enraged, as it’s an effort to force taxpayers to fund abortions.

the minimum wage cannot be included in the $ 1.9 trillion stimulus bill, the $2,000 relief check promise has been walked back, his OMB nominee, Neera Tanden, is about to go down in flames, and COVID deaths surpassed 500,000. I guess it was time to bomb something, right? Nothing gets America more riled up and united than when we bomb something, but after a decade of war, thousands of lives lost, and trillions spent on these nation-building projects in the Middle East that have only caused more instability, we’re done. Oh, and it’s also allowed Iran to increase its regional clout and they’re about to inch closer to acquiring nuclear weapons so—America is back, huh

CNN? Well, we have some receipts documenting CNN's long history of disseminating fake news idiocy. Actually, it was done by Brent Bozell, the founder of the Media Research Center, which tracks liberal media bias. Newsbusters* doles out stories about the liberal media’s bad behavior daily. It’s the point of the lance within this organization. Since its inception, the MRC has recorded every major news broadcast since 1987. It’s now digitized, but whatever CNN has said that was pure applesauce, it will be recorded, filed, and found by this crew.

Carlson aptly noted that such misinformation has done more damage than conspiracy theories like Q’Anon ever could. Q’Anon is a favorite target of CNN and others for explaining how conservative America has supposedly lost its minds. You all know it’s liberal America that’s violent; these people burned down half the country last summer. He also cited the latest statistics on police shootings to show how misinformed liberals are on this topic—and the consequences it has brought.

Geddert, 63, had owned the training facility in Michigan where Nassar had served as the gym's doctor. A number of gymnasts accused him of abusive behaviour when they testified during Nassar's trial.

He was expected to turn himself in on Thursday afternoon but did not appear, the attorney general's office said.

Geddert was head of the women's gymnastics team in 2012 and worked closely with team doctor Larry Nassar who abused hundreds of athletes.

Nassar was sentenced to up to 300 years in jail in 2018 for abusing more than 250 girls.

“We think that it’s prudent that Capitol Police maintain its enhanced and robust security posture until we address those vulnerabilities going forward,” she said.

A date has not been announced for Biden to deliver his State of the Union address to Congress, which typically happens early in the year.

Unprecedented security measures were imposed in Washington following the deadly Jan. 6 assault on the Capitol, including fences topped with razor wire and checkpoints manned by the National Guard.

About 5,000 troops are expected to stay through mid-March.

Trump supporters stormed the Capitol in an attempt to stop Congress from certifying Democrat Biden’s electoral victory over the Republican president, who falsely claimed the November election had been marred by widespread fraud.

Trump had fought for more than a year to keep his records out of the hands of Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance. But after a Supreme Court decision this week cleared the way for the documents' release, they have been given to Vance’s investigators.

Now comes the hard part, according to former prosecutors.

Vance has enlisted outside experts, including a forensic consulting firm, to help pore over the vast collection of records in search of any improprieties.

As the nation’s military leaders arrested Aung San Suu Kyi, president Win Myint and other senior government figures they also deployed a blunt tool of censorship: turning off the internet. Sophie, who was up early with their son, could still access the internet at home as only phone data had been limited. The first she heard of the coup came from a New York Times article shared by a friend.

In the weeks since Myanmar’s military took control, internet shutdowns have become common. As protests have grown there have been total internet shutdowns and limits placed on individual services such as Facebook and its Messenger app. For most people in Myanmar, Facebook is the internet and is the main way people access news and chat with friends.

Who knew the feds telling property owners they couldn't kick out tenants who didn't pay their rent might be unconstitutional? A federal judge in Texas did, ruling on Thursday that the CDC's eviction moratorium violated the U.S. Constitution.

>>"Although the COVID-19 pandemic persists, so does the Constitution," wrote Judge Barker in a 21-page opinion.

Instituted under President Trump, the moratorium on evictions made it a crime for landlords to evict certain tenants who are unable to pay rent during the pandemic. President Biden and Congress extended the moratorium through March.

At question in the case was whether or not a nationwide eviction moratorium violated the limited powers of the federal government. The judge found that it did, noting the federal government has never claimed such a broad power throughout the nation's history until last year.

>>"The absence of an historical analog here calls to mind the Supreme Court’s instruction that '[p]erhaps the most telling indication of [a] severe constitutional problem … is the lack of historical precedent,'" Judge Barker wrote in his opinion.

The case did not consider whether the states had the power to regulate residential evictions, something the judge acknowledges has long taken place.

Legal experts expect the case to be appealed to the Texas-based U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, The Hill reported.

Placing a moratorium on evictions seems like an unconstitutional "solution" to an unconstitutional problem, that problem being the unprecedented lockdowns.

>At least big banks and big corporations are open to the idea of UBI

I would be just fine with UBI were it not for the consequences that follow it. I'll tell you what WILL happen (oh here we go again, another warning!) What WILL happen is the US dollar will continue to devalue in purchasing power, meaning the cost of living will continue to rise (due to more debt insolvency). So in the future you will own less and less (take a look at the IMF/WEF 'Great Reset' agenda and it all fits the plan). Another thing that will happen is you will eventually give up your guns, take the covid vaccine, inject a microchip into your skin so they can track you 24/7, and they'll move into a designated cube pod to continue receiving UBI, …or if you resist the government can cut you right off and then it's skid row for you. THAT is what WILL happen, eventually under a UBI system controlled by the same crooks you seem to admire so much.

Do you really think the big banks and major corporations and politicians give a flying fuck about your futures!? THEY WANT POPULATION CONTROL. And you are begging for it like a sucker.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said Thursday that he would "absolutely" support former President Donald Trump if he won the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

Asked whether he would support Trump, who has hinted at a second run, if he became the Republican nominee, McConnell said, "Absolutely." Republican Sens. Josh Hawley of Missouri and Tom Cotton of Arkansas, as well as Nikki Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the U.N., have also been mentioned as potential candidates.

“We know that members of the militia groups that were present on Jan. 6 have stated their desires that they want to blow up the Capitol and kill as many members as possible, with a direct nexus to the State of the Union ― which we know that date has not been identified,” Pittman revealed in testimony to a House Appropriations subcommittee Thursday.

As you know if you’ve been reading Twitchy, March for Our Lives co-founder and Harvard student David Hogg announced that he was absolutely going to start a billion-dollar company with progressive values to sell pillows in direct competition with Trump-supporting Mike Lindell and his MyPillow. He might have announced the plan a bit early; he didn’t have a name for his company, he didn’t know in which state to build his factory, and he needed someone to come up with a corporate logo by noon (announced just before 8 a.m.) to place in an exclusive in the Washington Post.

President Joe Biden revoked seven executive orders on Feb. 24 issued by President Donald Trump between 2017 and 2021. The White House offered no explanation for the revocation in its formal press release.

Biden’s action revoked one of the first executive actions Trump signed upon taking office—an executive order titled Core Principles for Regulating the United States Financial System. The order set out the Trump administration’s policy on financial regulation, with the first listed goal to “empower Americans to make independent financial decisions and informed choices in the marketplace, save for retirement, and build individual wealth.”

It’s strange because courts declared that presidents can’t rescind executive orders without providing an explanation, and one acceptable to the court.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has a problem with the New York City Police Department's new robot dog. The squad member is upset the new robot dog is being tested on "low-income communities of color."

>>"Shout out to everyone who fought against community advocates who demanded these resources go to investments like school counseling instead," the New York representative tweeted on Thursday. "Now robotic surveillance ground drones are being deployed for testing on low-income communities of color with under-resourced schools."

Ocasio-Cortez then questioned whether other "next-generation world class technology" was provided for education, healthcare, and housing in "underserved communities."

The "woke" representative's latest grievance though it's been a couple of hours, so it's probably not the latest anymore is that the NYPD's new "Digidog" was used at the scene of a home invasion in the Bronx earlier this week.

According to the New York Post, the new robot dog weighs approximately 70 pounds, climbs stairs, opens doors, comes equipped with lights and cameras and allows for two-way communication. The robotic canine was previously used in Brooklyn back in October to help dig out a gunman hiding in a basement.

It sounds like a great tool for a home invasion and a way for officers to avoid risking their lives. A lot of cops are attacked in the congresswoman's district. Does AOC ever think about them?

What's most important is that the extreme "left" & " right" keep fighting each other, over everything.

Relentlessly trying to drag all others down to their levels of extreme misery.

The extreme right won't embrace concern over this until the same tech is eventually used against them.

And when that happens the extreme left is likely to cheer that abuse against the "other" side.

That is precisely how the idiocies of mindless Tribalism play out.

Both sides love tyranny & authoritarianism, as long as it benefits them, to the detriment of the "other".

A nation of mindless followers.
